In the Shyamdeorwa area of Maharajganj district, a 22-year-old man has been apprehended on charges of raping a minor girl. The arrest took place on Thursday following the incident that occurred early in the morning when the girl stepped out of her home to relieve herself.
Details of the Allegation
The suspect has been identified as Raj, who resides in the same neighborhood as the victim. It is alleged that he lured the girl to his house under false pretenses and assaulted her. After the incident, the girl informed her family members, who subsequently filed a complaint with the police.
Police Response
According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Somendra Meena, the accused was arrested promptly after the complaint was lodged. The victim has been sent for a medical examination, and further investigations are currently underway.
